Mr. Crossman began his automotive career at age six by working at his father’s dealership after school. He became active in auto trading at the age of fourteen. He worked in his father’s body shop, engine shop, paint shop and rebuilt cars for sale and show competition during his high school years. After college, Mr. Crossman entered the Navy as a Naval Aviator for five years. After completing his military service, Mr. Crossman settled in San Antonio. He spent seven years evaluating cars for Tom Benson and two for Red McCombs. Mr. Crossman is a car collector having some vehicles as long as thirty-five years.
For several years, he worked for Dan Kruse Classic Car Productions in San Antonio, Leake Auction Company of Oklahoma, Barrett–Jackson Auction in Phoenix, RM Auctions and Kruse International Southwest. These companies collectively sell over ten thousands collector cars annually. As a Consignment specialist, Mr. Crossman has assisted hundreds of sellers in establishing the values of their vehicles.
Mr. Crossman has served as a consultant and umpire (final Judge) in disputes between insurance appraisal specialist and owners both in fair market and diminished value situations. He often provides appraisals for insurance companies, IRS, attorneys, and car finance companies. Mr. Crossman is also available for expert witness testimony.
